Need a Good Paris Hotel?
Finding a hotel in Paris is rather like finding a beautiful woman at Cannes, or a fast car at Le Mans. They’re everywhere. The choice you have here is where you want to be – what your budget might be and what other preference you or your partner have for staying in one of the world’s most romantic and wondrous cities.
So where to start?
You can always try the TripAdvisor-type route, but what may be more fun is simply to look about at articles and aspects of Paris that you think would appeal to you. There are any number of alternatives so first decide what you would like to do in this city? There’s clearly no shortage of things you can do, so make a short list and then go hotel shopping.
For instance:
The Five Hotel
Described once as ‘The sexiest place in the Latin Quarter’

Five Hotel
The Five Hotel’s classical, vanilla-cream facade may blend in with its neighbours, but on the inside it’s all moddy lighting, retro-inspired furniture and psychedelic patterns. The building was designed by
Architect Vincent Bastie with rooms named after the colours they’re painted (black, blue, pink, white, green, orange, beige and prune), are dotted with fibre optics that evoke a starry sky. And boy, do they smell good: choose from five delicate room fragrances (gourmand, tonic, relaxed, natural and sensual), to match your mood.
Hôtel La Trémoille
Ideally suited for those shoppers fancying a look about the ‘golden triangle’ between the Champs-Elysées and the River Seine. The Temoille is situated on an inconspicuous street in the heart of the shopping action. Smaller than the nearby trendy Palace hotels it’s also friendlyl and reburbished in a calm, fashionable French way.
Built in 1883, in the prestigious style of apartments lining Paris’s grand streets and boulevards, La Trémoille has gone through several reburbishments and now has a trendy new bar-restaurant-lounge has added street cred. And as for the bedrooms, all 93 have new-look Art Deco furniture, fluffy carpets, furry bedspreads and marble bathrooms.
Hotel Alma
The hotel Alma is a real Parisian bargain hotel with a great price in a great area starting at 70€ for a single room. This is really something hard to find in Paris. Clean, a garden for breakfast, cabe TV and a walk next to the Eiffel Tower, it is ideal for the budget traveller.
Hotel Jules

Murano Urban Resort

Murano resort
And now for something entirely different. Also from architect Vincent Bastie, the trendy Murano Urban Resort is a futuristic Parisian hotel designed to take you to where no man has ventured before. Only kidding, this 19th cntury bulding has been blended with stainless steell and frosted windows, with white marble and glass sculptures and a glass roos with elevators fitted out with hot pink fur. So if you’re looking for something different in Paris – and want to spend a little more money – then the Murano could be for you.
